3CX - How does it work?

The 3CX server is hosted by our partner - UFone, we work with them to configure it to your business communication needs 

Then to make and receive calls, simply install the 3CX app on: 

  • Any modern smartphone (with anything business critical we recommend having up to date & fast mobile phones) 

  • Traditional desk phone or cordless phone (this is actually called a voip phone but looks exactly the same as a normal phone.  However, instead of plugging in to a telephone line, it plugs in to the local networking infrastructure.  Headsets can be connected to these too. These Desk phones need to be fully compatible with 3CX to work. 

  • Any modern computer or laptop (it works using the computers mic and speakers or you can connect a wired or bluetooth headset). 

On Your Website 

There is even a live chat plugin for your website where, via your app, you can chat (via text or call or both) with people visiting the website. We would work with your website developer to enable this functionality. 

Microsoft 365 Integration
3CX supports full integration with Microsoft 365, including: 

  • SSO (Single Sign On) - Enable single sign-on for 3CX using Microsoft credentials, eliminating forgotten passwords and enhancing user login experience. 

  • Integrate Teams and 3CX: Establish Teams Direct Routing to facilitate easy calling between Teams users and the 3CX platform. 

  • Unified contact management: Sync all Microsoft 365 contacts, both personal and company-wide, to your 3CX phone book for easy access in one centralized location.
