Privacy, Security & Service Level Agreements
There is an expectation for all business to comply to minimum standards and adhere to best practices in terms of keeping their customer’s data safe as well as their own! At Computer Clinic this is of paramount importance as we hold the keys to many systems and services for our customers. For security reasons we cannot go into specific details about the products we use or how we operate but we have gone quite far to explain much of this on our website to give peace of mind. This information comes in two parts -
1. Our Privacy and Security Information, where it is a legal requirement that all companies state who their privacy officer is. And
2. How a Service Level Agreement can give confidence and clarity to everything surrounding our customer’s I.T. systems and data. For more detailed information on these topics, please click and read the links to both these documents on our website.

Meanwhile, please understand that Data privacy is a large part of owning a modern business as businesses now tend to have access to data on both their customers and employees. As a result, businesses have an obligation to protect this information and gain consent where necessary in order to obtain it.
In New Zealand, any business that collects the personal information of customers (this can be bank details, name, a contract phone number, email address) needs to have a privacy policy in place in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Principles (NZPP). See below link:-
Office of the Privacy Commissioner | Privacy Act 2020 and the Privacy Principles
It is also a legal requirement for every company must have an assigned privacy officer who is listed on their website!
